In case people weren’t aware, there seems to have been a massive issue throughout Patreon. People have had their subscriptions cancelled and many had their payments flagged as fraud with their bank.
150$ of my patronage disappeared, that’s 150$ a month as a disabled artist that took months to build that I’m unsure I’ll ever get back..Gone. It won’t allow me to message anyone whose payments were declined.I also had around 10 people’s payments flagged as fraud, some have had to re-patron.

If you’re supporting Patreon creators I advise you look to see if at least the people you remember supporting are still there / that your payments aren’t marked as fraud, especially if you’re supporting for physical rewards you’re expecting.

my definition of being a service top ? Honestly I just want to come over, make you some tea, give you a full body massage and trace little lines up and down your back & neck until you fall asleep. Then sneak away to bake you some sweets while you're resting & after you've rested for a good long while, climb between your legs and eat you out until you are grabbing fistfulls of my hair cumming over and over again, rubbing your thighs and lower back while you come down and getting you back to sleep with little kisses and running my fingers through your hair while reminding you how pretty you are sweet angel.

Gun-filled hellworld?

Oh, you mean Mexico, right? Yeah, funny how all those laws don’t stop criminals.

fandomsandfeminism

You've made this same point on several posts now.

The question of why there are so many illegal guns in Mexico is difficult to answer, given that the cartels aren't big on filling out surveys. But most evidence seems to point towards 2 sources for the illegal firearms in Mexico- 1. People deserting from the Mexican armed forces and taking their guns with them and 2. *smuggling them from the US*

To the larger point, you seem very sure that any and all gun laws are completely useless. The fact is that reality is far more complicated. Some gun laws are more effective than others, and "effective" can look like lots of things.

For example, laws that specifically limit the manufacture and sale of High capacity magazines ARE effective at reducing the rate of high-casualty mass shooting events, but do very little to help accidental and suicide deaths by firearm.

"Safe Storage" laws correlate strongly with reducing accidental deaths and youth suicides, but wouldn't have impacted mass shooting events.

Waiting period laws help mitigate adult suicide and homicide numbers. Background checks reduce intimate partner homicides. Gun buy back programs vary intensely depending on their scale and specifics.

There is no single cure all policy, and we can't ignore the cultural aspect. A society that screams over and over again that everyone needs a gun to protect themselves because everyone else has a gun *is going to have gun problems*.

But the fact that it is a complicated issue doesn't mean that we shouldn't work to improve the situation. And relying on vague "BUT THE MEXICANS" talking points isn't helping anyone.

every holocaust memorial day, i always ask people to keep romani people in their thoughts, but this year i’d like to clear up some misconceptions that i see every year w/ a psa

  1. romani people are not white. we’re south asian (from northern india), and each subgroup has a unique racial makeup of asian/white/etc, in different amounts. this is also why we vary wildly in physical appearance/skintone
  2. we still face oppression. what we face, especially in europe, can still be constituted as attempted genocide, as we’re forced to live in hazardous conditions or to give away our children, be sterilized, etc just for the crime of being roma
  3. the ‘g slur’ isn’t just an american issue. the reason some european roma prefer the slur is because, in many countries, there is no term for roma that isn’t a slur, and it’s either the g slur or the literal translation of the n word. i’m romanian, and if you used the slur in my hometown, you’d get slapped, since we just use ‘roma’.
  4. we live in every continent across the world. some of the largest romani populations exist in south america, predominantly in brazil. they are no more and no less roma than their european counterparts, and they, like romani in asia, africa, etc all face unique challenges and oppression.

we’re the largest ethnic minority in europe, and yet have almost no political power, no land ownership power (in some places, we’re forbidden from owning land entirely), etc. with very few reputable charities- a lot of us reject charity by principle, as well as there being a general lack of education about us- the best thing you can do to help romani people is to just spread information, and help individuals when you can.

Today, August 2, 2020, is Rroma Holocaust Memorial Day. On this day in 1944, 2,897 Rromani people were killed in the Z*geunerfamilienlager, or G*psy family camp, in the Auschwitz concentration camp complex. We remember them.
